Make an Investment in Your Mental Wealth
Investing in therapy is an investment in your mental wealth—your emotional well-being, personal growth, and overall quality of life. While the cost of therapy represents a financial commitment, it’s also a powerful step toward creating the life you want to live. Just as you would invest in your physical health or education, dedicating resources to your mental health can bring lasting benefits, helping you navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience, clarity, and confidence. Here, you’ll find information about my rates and the various options available to ensure that therapy is accessible and valuable for you.
My Therapy Rates
Consultation: Free | 15 minutes
Therapy: $195 | up to 45 minutes
To keep things simple and transparent, I offer a flat rate of $195 per session, regardless of the type of support you’re seeking. This rate reflects my commitment to providing high-quality, personalized care tailored to your unique needs. I also understand that starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help you decide if working together feels like the right fit. During this consultation, we can discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and explore how I can support you on your journey to healing and growth.
Paying for Therapy: Here’s What You Should Know
-
I do not bill insurance directly, but I am considered an "out-of-network" provider for many insurance plans. This means you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company for a portion of our sessions. I can provide a detailed invoice, known as a superbill, that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
-
A superbill is a detailed receipt of the services provided during our sessions. It includes all the information your insurance company needs to process a claim, such as the dates of service, session type, and the amount paid. You can submit this superbill to your insurance company, which will then determine whether you qualify for reimbursement based on your out-of-network benefits.
-
To find out if you have out-of-network benefits, you can contact your insurance provider directly and ask the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What is my deductible, and has it been met?
What percentage of the therapy fee is reimbursed for out-of-network providers?
How do I submit a claim for reimbursement, and what documentation is required?
Knowing this information will help you understand how much you might get reimbursed for your sessions.
-
Once you have received the superbill from me, you can submit it to your insurance company according to their specific process. This often involves filling out a claim form and attaching the superbill as supporting documentation. Each insurance company may have its own procedures, so I recommend contacting them for the most accurate instructions.
-
While I do not handle insurance claims directly, I’m happy to help answer any questions you might have about the superbill or the information provided. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company for specific questions about your coverage, but I’m here to support you as best I can through the process.
-
I accept various forms of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. Payments are typically collected at the time of each session unless otherwise arranged.
-
I understand that therapy is an investment, and I strive to make it accessible. I offer a limited number of sliding scale slots based on financial need. Please feel free to discuss this with me during our initial consultation if cost is a concern.
-
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee. I will review this policy with you in more detail during our first session.
